ABOUT TIMBER & CO.
TRANSFORMING YOUR DOG, ONE TRAINING SESSION AT A TIME.
It all started with a pooch named Timber, who holds a dual role as our founder Kyra’s faithful companion and indispensable assistant. Originally hailing from a home unable to meet his needs, he endured prolonged periods of isolation, resulting in significant reactivity and separation anxiety — until he met Kyra.

Under her dedicated rehabilitation efforts, Timber underwent a profound transformation that saw him not only ignite Kyra’s passion for dog behavior modification, but also become the namesake behind Timber & Co.

Now, Kyra is pawsitively thrilled to work with canines in and around Salem, Oregon. Her commitment to force-free training and holistic approach to animal behavior embodies her vision for a world where every dog receives understanding, compassion and the highest standard of care.

HI! I'M KYRA, FOUNDER OF TIMBER & CO AND PROUD PAW-RENT!
My journey to dog training started with a childhood passion and grew into a professional career. From helping with family dogs to logging thousands of training hours, my dedication to doggos has made me a renowned expert in the field.

Inspired by my experience with Timber, I’ve pursued extensive education in dog training and rehabilitation. A certified Family Dog Mediator, I’m armed with specialized training and education far surpassing the usual behavior consulting and training standards, using a holistic approach that seeks to understand and influence animal behavior.

I’m also a CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) and completed the challenging Master Course in Aggression in 2023, further enhancing my skills in managing complex behavioral issues. During a six-month apprenticeship with Dogs Unleashed, I also expanded my knowledge in anxious, aggressive and reactive behaviors.

Though my expertise extends to all breeds, my heart especially lies with Siberian huskies and German shepherds. I’m a proud paw-rent of Timber, Sienna, Hazel and Freya, and can’t wait to extend my passion for pooches to training your pup!

JUSTEN GLYNN
Dog Trainer Apprentice
Justen truly possesses an extraordinarily rare natural talent for working with animals. Throughout his life, people have been left astounded by the affinity he has with them. He has the uncanny ability to transcend expectations of what most would believe to be possible. A living testament to this is his Service Dog, Vixie, whom Justen has independently trained to accommodate his developmental disabilities. She's a Shiba Inu, a brilliant and strong-willed ancient Japanese breed, notorious for being one of the most difficult to train.
With his keen insight regarding animals, Justen can recognize the essence of a dog's character traits. Despite the unique challenges presented by Vixie's breed, he has nonetheless succeeded in unlocking her full potential to demonstrate the necessary qualities conducive to effectively performing as a Service Dog. Justen has a strong desire to develop his skills further so that he may become a viable resource in the disabled community, especially for others like himself, who are on the Autism spectrum.

His commitment to excellence doesn't stop at practical experience; he's also immersed in a continuous learning process through various courses and lectures, aiming to sharpen his skills and broaden his knowledge base. Under the mentorship of our Head Trainer and Owner, Kyra, Anthony is in the throes of a comprehensive six-month apprenticeship that promises to transform his abilities and understanding of dog behavior.
